The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities overseas, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an opportunity to grow for toilets and bidet seats, as opposed its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words so that the next generation could read the words. Many words were replaced with foreign words. For instance dui, which is Bengali for verandah, was used.
Origins
The company was founded in 1917 and its early years mirrored Japan's economic development. In the first half of 1917, Toto made products to meet the demands for modern, brand new urban housing. To achieve this, it used the first tunnel kiln in the country to produce ceramics in a continuous flow. It also pioneered the use of automation to control production, which allows for more efficiency and consistency.
In the latter half of the 1980s, the company began expanding outwards to profit from sales and new markets. The company created the Cera Trading Company to import and market other products from other manufacturers to expand its line of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped to increase sales and expand the market share of the company globally.
In the 1990s, Toto began to focus on research and development of water-related appliances. It also redesigned its distribution system to better serve its customers and boost profits. The company also employed the just-in time approach in its supply chain management and sales program. This led to a higher degree of customer satisfaction.
Toto has been able to continue to innovate with regard to toilet technology. Its most recent toilet, for instance it has a powerful tornado flush that is more environmentally green than traditional toilets. The company makes use of recycled water in its manufacturing process, and has a green buying policy. In addition to toilets Toto manufactures faucets and bathtubs and hand dryers that are more energy efficient than standard models.
The company's first museum opened in the year 2015, and it has exhibitions on Toto's most iconic products and their development, its group companies (all that deal with ceramics) and the historical background of plumbing and products like bath units and, in a separate gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum even has a bathroom that features a WASHLET toilet as well as other toilet-related innovations.

Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro, and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all played on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. 토토사이트 꽁머니 performed on records by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
You would expect a group with a name like Asia to be a prog rock band, but it is actually a relatively straightforward rock band. The group was formed as four members and released two albums in 1979, the self-titled debut album and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. Although the band have a diverse musical background their biggest breakthrough was in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a massive blockbuster but not without its problems. Record companies put the band on the place with the directive "give us an album that's a smash or we'll sack you" and the pressure was on to give it. Luckily for Toto, they did with the assistance of the smash single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is the result of their previous experiences. Before joining the group, members were session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their distinctive sound has become the norm for '80s pop, and has influenced many modern artists.
The album opens with a strong and pounding sound with tracks like Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write fantastic AOR songs that slowly build their hooks into your mind. But the album also contains some slower, more jazzy tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. The album ends with Great Expectations. This song mixes folk and distorted AOR which could seem like a complete blunder, but works very well.
After Toto IV The band's fortunes changed towards the negative. David Hungate left the band to focus on his solo career. The band had several drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball left the band following drug-related charges. The band continued to play with Michael Porcaro, Steve Lukather and Michael Porcaro.
Despite the turmoil, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation that was not as successful as IV. The band was able to release an album that was chart-topping, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. The album marked the end of the original Toto lineup and was the first to feature a new singer, Simon Phillips.

Line-up
The album's third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet style of the previous albums. It was a more ferocious, consistent effort that had an edge that was more pronounced than Hydra. The more edgy sound of the album was indicative of the maturation of group, with drummer Bobby Kimball's increased proficiency on the drums, as well as a more confident, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard playing was also sharper, more complex, and less derivative on earlier efforts.
After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live performance in Amsterdam which was released as a set of two CDs called Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. A new studio album followed a few months later, and the group went on a long-distance tour in support of the album. In this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.
In 1998, Paich & Lukather began looking through old tapes and demos to find songs that hadn't been recorded before. The album was released as a double album titled Then And Now in 2001. It was the first album by the band not to feature one single track with the word "A" in its title and it included one previously unreleased track, "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial flop and the vocalist Williams was suffering from a serious laryngitis infection which hampered his singing. Additionally, Hungate returned to Nashville and drummer Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the original members of Asia were in England in the beginning of 2006 to discuss the possibility that the group could be reformed. The group, which was missing Howe who was occupied with Yes at the time, was renamed Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also featured the appearance of singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
